Domino Consolidator
Domino Consolidator significantly reduces the time, effort, and cost of consolidating and retiring Lotus Domino domains and servers after a migration to Microsoft
When companies make the decision to move their Domino mail and applications to the Microsoft platform, they are often left with a legacy Domino infrastructure that remains in place for an undetermined period of time. Binary Tree’s Domino Consolidator helps to greatly reduce the time, effort and cost of consolidating and retiring Domino domains and servers.
The Costs and Challenges of the Legacy Environment
The challenge surrounding this is cost of the legacy infrastructure, a distributed number of servers, and how to minimize these to reduce costs. Managing any consolidation when the user community is no longer using Domino becomes a responsibility that can be overwhelming.
Domino Consolidator Simplifies the Consolidation and Retirement of the Lotus Domino Environment
Binary Tree’s Domino Consolidator helps to greatly curtail this challenge and ease the responsibility surrounding it. By using the Domino Consolidator, organizations can centralize the distributed servers to a smaller footprint, update the automation of agents, and easily update end user workstations to reflect the smaller number of servers. In doing so, the organization can decommission additional servers, consequently reducing the associated licensing costs of the additional Domino servers.
Binary Tree’s Domino Consolidator is a Domino based interface that will move applications remaining after the migration, to a smaller number of Domino servers. The solution can then update all agents to run on the new servers. Once this has been completed, the user community is sent a Domino based email which will reconfigure the end user workstation Lotus Notes Client to reflect this smaller Domino infrastructure. The solution provides reporting in terms of who has completed the process, who had issues, and who is remaining to complete.
